The important Guatemalan chain of restaurants opened a store in Fuencarral, one of the most central and commercial streets of Madrid, the first of a hundred restaurants in its plan. “The start of operations of Pollo Campero in Spain is a very important step in our international expansion plan”, said the President of Pollo Campero, Juan José Gutiérrez.
“We are proud not only of our business achievements, but also because, through our international presence, we are lifting the name of Guatemala.”
The Guatemalan chain of quick service restaurants opened in Fuencarral, one of the most central and commercial streets of Madrid, the first of the 100 restaurants it plans to open in Spain over the next 10 years.
Traditional Chicken, Extra Crispy, Camperitos, wings and sandwiches, with beans, French fries, cabbage salad or mashed potatoes, are some of the dishes that Spaniards have the opportunity to enjoy in the Spanish capital since July 12.
“The start of Pollo Campero operations in Spain is a very important step in the international expansion plan that we have proposed,” said the President of Pollo Campero Juan José Gutiérrez. “We are proud not only of our business achievements, but also because, through our international presence, we are lifting the name of Guatemala”
Mr. Gutiérrez added that, in the short term, this expansion also includes opening the first restaurant in Indonesia, as well as a second store in Madrid by the end of this year. Similarly, he expects to start operations in China in the first quarter of 2007.
Juan José Gutiérrez concluded by saying that the strategic partnership that has been developed since 2002 with Telepizza, whose franchise in Guatemala is managed by Pollo Campero, has been key to open this store.
