CMI Foods: Actions based on sustainability

Under the leadership of its Chairman and CEO, Juan José Gutiérrez Mayorga, CMI Foods contributes to food safety and promotes various sustainable initiatives:

Occupational health management: extending support measures to its collaborators derived from the effects of the pandemic, by implementing mixed work modalities, and promoting medical evaluation and vaccination days.

Support for the Recreational Parks Program: supporting the creation of public spaces for the integral development of young people and promoting the wellbeing of the people and communities where it operates.

Sustainability: the compass that guides CMI’s growth

In line with its purpose “We feed your world to fill it with well-being,” CMI Foods also emphasizes its support for initiatives that impact the environment in a positive way, such as water management, nutrition, community development, waste management and emissions. These include projects to achieve carbon neutrality and efficiency in energy management, as well as recyclability policies.

CMI is currently implementing a US$1.8 billion investment plan for the next three years in the different regions in which it operates, of which US$1 billion will be invested to strengthen its infrastructure, generate employment, more innovation, and above all continue with its sustainable and environmental initiatives.
Juan Bautista Gutiérrez Foundation: CMI’s social branch, focused on solving different social challenges from the root with comprehensive, replicable and self-sufficient programs in education, health, nutrition, and entrepreneurship in Guatemala.
