CMI in El Salvador: A Long-Term Vision for Growth and Development

CMI’s presence in El Salvador has become a fundamental component of the regional strategy of CMI, Corporación Multi Inversiones. In this market, the organization has developed an operation that combines productive investment, logistics strengthening, and environmental sustainability. This long-term vision reflects an approach focused on improving operational efficiency while strengthening connections with local consumers.

Throughout 2025, the implementation of industrial, logistics, and commercial projects reinforced the capabilities of the corporation’s two business groups. In addition, these advancements reflect a strategy that integrates business growth with job creation and economic development in the country, while maintaining a regional perspective that respects the identity and local roots of each brand.

An Operation Integrated into the Country’s Industrial Development

El Salvador plays a strategic role within CMI’s regional operations. As a result, the investments made in the country are part of a plan designed to strengthen operational efficiency and competitiveness.

During 2025, several projects helped consolidate this presence. Among the most notable was the inauguration of a distribution center in San Miguel, supported by a $1.5 million investment. This facility enhances supply chain efficiency and improves logistics coverage throughout the eastern region of the country.

In addition, improvements were made to production and industrial infrastructure. These initiatives are part of a broader approach that integrates logistics, manufacturing, and commercialization within a single corporate strategy.

In this context, Jaime García Oriani, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Business Partner for CMI Foods in El Salvador, stated in an interview with El Industrial that these advancements reflect the company’s commitment to strengthening operational capabilities and supporting the development of the regional industrial sector.

El Salvador Within CMI’s Regional Vision

Looking ahead to 2026, the company’s plans include new projects aimed at strengthening production capabilities, particularly within the poultry sector, as well as the opening of three additional Pollo Campero restaurants in the country.
