Top of Mind Summa

Brands from CMI Foods, the food business group of CMI, Corporación Multi Inversiones, once again ranked among the most recognized by consumers in Central America and the Dominican Republic, according to the specialized media outlet Revista Summa’s Top of Mind study. This recognition, presented for the twelfth consecutive year in partnership with CID Gallup, reflects consistent work focused on quality, proximity, and a deep understanding of consumer needs.

Beyond rankings, the results highlight the long-standing relationship built between these brands and their communities, as well as their ability to evolve without losing their identity. Under the leadership of Juan José Gutiérrez Mayorga, Chairman of CMI Foods and Chairman of the Board of Del Real Foods, the organization has prioritized operational excellence and emotional connection, enabling its brands to become part of the daily lives of millions of consumers across the region.

Recognition built on strong consumer relationships

The Top of Mind Brands study highlights companies that have built strong, long-term relationships with their consumers. In this edition, several brands within the CMI Foods portfolio stood out for their ability to remain relevant, accessible, and top-of-mind in highly competitive markets.

The recognized brands were:

  • Pasta Ina
  • Pasta Milano
  • Pasta Fama
  • Pasta Bruni
  • Pollo Campero
  • Toledo
  • Galletas Gama
  • Galletas Hatuey

This performance reflects an authentic value proposition that connects with people’s aspirations, emotions, and consumption habits. It also demonstrates consistency over time, a key factor in maintaining brand awareness across different countries and generations.

Quality and proximity as strategic pillars

At CMI Foods, the focus has been on delivering high-quality products supported by brands that are part of consumers’ everyday lives. This sense of proximity is intentional. It has been built through a deep understanding of the consumer, disciplined execution, and continuous adaptation to market changes.

Under the direction of Juan José Gutiérrez Mayorga, management has prioritized strengthening processes, preserving each brand’s identity, and ensuring a consistent consumer experience. As a result, brands such as Pollo Campero, Pasta Ina, Toledo, and Galletas Gama have become naturally embedded in the region’s food culture, maintaining their relevance over time.

Family leadership and long-term vision

CMI is currently led by the third generation of the founding family, with a vision that combines business discipline and a commitment to the communities where it operates. This approach has enabled the company to build brands that are both recognized and valued for their everyday contribution.

In addition, the corporate purpose of generating opportunities with a family-centered approach is reflected in how these brands engage with people. The trust built over the years translates into preference, loyalty, and recognition, elements clearly reflected in the Top of Mind study.

Ultimately, this recognition reflects a strategy grounded in quality, consistency, and emotional connection, guided by a long-term vision. CMI Foods demonstrates that maintaining brand essence, listening to consumers, and executing with discipline remain essential to building relevant and enduring brands in the region.
